Sudan is a very poor country. This is due in part to numerous conflicts and wars, as well as the separation of South Sudan. South Sudan contains many of the oil that Sudan exported, which affected Sudan's economy greatly. Sudan had trouble to keep the economy stable after this recession. Sudan has tried many differents methods to solve this, such as change its source of revenues to things such as gold mining.
Sudan also came out with a new currency, still called the Sudanese pound. This also affected Sudan's economy, as it has
declined sice it was brought to the surface.
